About the Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Senior/Staff Product Manager to become the founding Product Manager at a fast-growing, venture-backed enterprise software startup. This is a highly visible role where you'll partner closely with executive leadership, customers, and engineering to shape product strategy while serving as the critical bridge between customer needs and technical execution.

You'll own enterprise customer engagements from initial discovery through post-sale expansion, helping transform complex business problems into scalable product solutions. If you enjoy working directly with customers, influencing product direction, and building products in a fast-paced startup environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary liaison between enterprise customers and the engineering team, ensuring customer needs are translated into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Lead pre-sales discovery sessions, product demonstrations, technical evaluations, and post-sale customer engagements.
  • Build customized product demonstrations that showcase real-world solutions rather than generic feature walkthroughs.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to prioritize customer feedback, define product requirements, and drive roadmap decisions.
  • Write detailed product specifications, user stories, and engineering briefs.
  • Work cross-functionally with executive leadership, engineering, and subject matter experts to deliver high-impact product enhancements.
  • Identify common customer challenges and convert them into scalable product capabilities.
  • Manage multiple enterprise implementations and customer initiatives simultaneously.
  • Validate concepts and rapidly prototype ideas using modern AI-assisted development tools.
  • Help define and improve enterprise capabilities including authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), approval workflows, integrations, APIs, and data governance.
  • Drive product decisions through customer insights, technical understanding, and business priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5–10 years of Product Management experience within enterprise (B2B) software.
  • Proven success partnering directly with enterprise customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software architecture and complex technical products.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Stable work history demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
  • DevOps platforms
  • Cybersecurity or security software
  • Infrastructure software
  • Data analytics platforms
  • Enterprise integrations and APIs
  • AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.)
  • Authentication, RBAC, identity management, or governance workflows
  • Building products from the ground up in startup environments
  • Consulting or customer-facing technical roles
  • Regulated industries

What Makes You Successful

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable speaking with executive stakeholders, technical buyers, engineers, and customers. You thrive in ambiguity, enjoy solving complex enterprise challenges, and have the ability to balance strategic product thinking with hands-on execution.

You are someone who:

  • Builds trust with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Quickly understands complex business problems.
  • Translates customer pain points into scalable product solutions.
  • Thinks strategically while remaining execution-focused.
  • Enjoys wearing multiple hats in a growing startup.
  • Takes ownership and drives initiatives from concept through delivery.

Ideal Background

We're seeking candidates with a strong foundation in enterprise software product management. Experience in consumer products alone is not a fit for this opportunity. Candidates with backgrounds in enterprise SaaS, technical consulting, solutions engineering, product management, or engineering who excel at partnering with customers and driving technical product execution will be especially successful in this role.
