IT Application Analyst (Linux / Windows / Application Support)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Compensation: up to $62.00/hr.


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Application Analyst to support critical enterprise applications and infrastructure in a production environment. This role combines application support, Linux and Windows server administration, incident management, and collaboration with development teams to ensure stable and reliable business operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in server support, production troubleshooting, and application support within a large enterprise environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for enterprise applications and supporting infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents while ensuring system availability and performance.
  • Support Linux and Windows server environments, including maintenance and operational activities.
  • Perform server patching, certificate renewals, system reboots, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments and issue resolution.
  • Review application code when necessary to assist with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
  • Participate in incident management, problem management, and operational support processes.
  • Document support procedures, troubleshooting steps, and operational best practices.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in application support, infrastructure support, systems administration, or a related IT role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
  • Strong Linux systems administration and support experience.
  • Strong Windows Server administration and support experience.
  • Experience with server patching, maintenance, certificate management, and operational support activities.
  • Experience working within incident management and production support environments.
  • Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolution efforts across technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Angular-based applications.
  • Experience supporting .NET applications.
  • Ability to read and understand application code for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments with high availability requirements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
