Overview
We are seeking a ServiceNow Lead / Architect to drive the design, delivery, and ongoing evolution of ServiceNow solutions within a Financial Services environment. This role serves as the technical owner of the platform, providing architectural leadership while mentoring a team of developers and ensuring scalable, high-quality implementations.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Customer Service Management (CSM) and Financial Services Operations (FSO), along with hands-on development experience and the ability to lead complex enterprise initiatives from discovery through production support.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Act as the primary technical owner of the ServiceNow platform and related solutions.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance on design, development, and best practices.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions aligned with ServiceNow architecture standards.
- Establish and enforce development standards, governance, and platform health monitoring.
Solution Design & Delivery
- Design and implement solutions across CSM and Financial Services Operations (FSO) modules.
- Lead full lifecycle implementations including:
- Requirements discovery
- Solution architecture
- Development and configuration
- Testing and deployment
- Post-production support
- Drive greenfield implementations, enhancements, and platform modernization initiatives.
- Build and customize complex workflows, integrations, and case management solutions supporting financial transaction disputes and fraud processing (Visa/Mastercard environments preferred).
Development Oversight
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, development reviews, and release cycles.
- Perform code and design reviews to ensure quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Oversee configuration and scripting including:
- Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions
- Script Includes, ACLs, Service Portal components
- Integrations via REST/SOAP, Integration Hub, and APIs
- Manage deployments, instance upgrades, cloning, and migration across environments.
Collaboration & Governance
- Work cross-functionally with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and delivery teams.
- Contribute to user story refinement, estimations, and technical documentation.
- Support Center of Excellence (CoE) initiatives, including knowledge transfer and training programs.
- Stay current with new ServiceNow capabilities, including Now Assist and emerging platform features.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Technical Lead, Architect, or Senior Developer.
- Hands-on expertise with:
- Customer Service Management (CSM)
- Financial Services Operations (FSO)
- Now Assist
- Demonstrated experience leading development teams and client-facing implementations.
- Strong scripting experience (JavaScript within ServiceNow framework).
- Experience delivering at least one full greenfield ServiceNow implementation.
- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, integrations, and deployment lifecycle.
- Experience integrating with third-party systems using REST, SOAP, or Integration Hub.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow development best practices and governance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications (Preferred / Expected)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required
- At least one Implementation Certification (e.g., FSO, CSM, ITSM, HRSD, or GRC)
- Financial Services Operations certification strongly preferred.
