Position Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager & Product Owner to join a high-impact product organization focused on developing advanced software solutions used across large-scale operational environments. In this role, you will work closely with the technology leadership team to define product direction, understand customer needs, and guide cross-functional engineering teams in delivering deeply technical, mission-critical software products.
You will help shape product requirements, refine scope, prioritize features, and support pre-sales and solution engineering efforts. This role blends hands-on technical expertise, product strategy, and the ability to translate complex customer workflows into clear, actionable development plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, validate, and translate customer needs into detailed functional, non-functional, and technical requirements
- Partner closely with engineering, architecture, QA, and cross-functional business teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment
- Drive execution of the product roadmap by refining backlog items, leading grooming sessions, and supporting development teams throughout the lifecycle
- Research market trends, technology advancements, and competitor capabilities to inform product strategy
- Provide product expertise in pre-sales conversations, demos, and technical discussions
- Support internal teams and customer stakeholders by delivering product training, documentation, and technical guidance
- Identify and mitigate product-related risks alongside engineering and architecture leads
- Maintain clear and comprehensive product documentation, artifacts, and release materials
- Lead beta testing efforts and define acceptance criteria for new features and releases
- Act as a subject-matter expert and internal advocate for product quality, customer value, and technical excellence
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in technical product management or product engineering (3+ years with a master’s)
- Experience working with complex, enterprise-level software systems used in large operational or industrial environments
- 4+ years as a Product Owner or similar role, delivering software in Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Hands-on experience with modern development pipelines, including CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Strong background in gathering, analyzing, and refining detailed technical requirements
- Ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including engineers, developers, architects, analysts, and commercial teams
- Exposure to automation, control systems, industrial software, or other highly technical domains
- Scripting or programming experience (any language)
