We are seeking a hands-on Full-Stack Team Lead to support a large-scale transformation initiative, migrating legacy mainframe applications to modern cloud-based systems. This role will function as the right hand to the team lead, offering both technical leadership and business partnership during a mission-critical systems migration within a high-volume supply chain environment.
What You'll Do
- Act as the technical lead and proxy for the team manager on a transformative effort to refactor mainframe applications to Java and Angular on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Lead efforts in modernizing legacy code, collaborating with a cross-functional team spanning development, operations, and finance.
- Work across supply chain systems, including inventory, logistics, warehouse distribution, store operations, and pharmacy order management.
- Own delivery of assigned modules, working closely with the business to understand functionality and provide solutions.
- Support the culture transformation within a long-standing team as they transition to new technology and prepare for future leadership turnover.
- Help lead efforts involving 7+ million lines of legacy code slated for refactoring across 60+ applications.
- Partner with system integrators leveraging GenAI-based tools for automated code refactoring.
- Develop and support batch processing jobs and real-time solutions using Java 8/11 and Angular 14.
- Build out PostgreSQL databases and deploy applications on Linux in a GCP environment.
- Collaborate across supply chain, finance, and operations stakeholders to ensure accurate system integration and functionality.

Preferred Experience
- 8+ years of full-stack development experience with strong hands-on backend and frontend capabilities.
- Proven experience as a Team Lead/Leader.
- Prior experience leading modernization or mainframe migration projects is highly desirable.
- Industry background in retail, logistics, or supply chain systems.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive deliverables, and act as a bridge between business and technology.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive, transparent, and solution-driven mindset.
