Compensation: $130K-$180K - based on experience

About Opportunity

We're partnering with a fast-growing technology company seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help scale a modern cloud platform serving enterprise customers. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team where you'll own critical backend services, influence technical direction, and build systems designed for reliability and growth.
You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and leadership to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions while mentoring teammates and driving engineering best practices.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs.
  • Build cloud-native services with a focus on reliability, security, and performance.
  • Translate product requirements into clean, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
  • Improve system performance, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to engineering standards and development best practices.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
  • Current or recent experience in a Senior or Lead Engineering role.
  • Strong background building backend systems in production environments.
  • Recent hands-on experience with:
    • TypeScript
    • Node.js
    • SQL databases
    • Public cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
  • Experience designing scalable distributed systems and APIs.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, performance optimization, and modern development practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in high-growth technology companies or large-scale engineering organizations.
  • Background building customer-facing SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with customer engagement, sales enablement, business applications, or other enterprise software products.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with a high level of ownership.
