About the Role
We're seeking a Head of Data Analytics to lead product analytics for a rapidly growing consumer mobile application. This is a highly strategic, hands-on leadership role for someone who can transform data into actionable business insights while partnering closely with executive leadership.
You'll lead a small analytics team as a player-coach, driving product decisions through deep analytical expertise, storytelling, and business strategy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on analysis with leadership and cross-functional influence.

What You'll Do
- Lead the company's Product Analytics function and help shape strategic business decisions through data.
- Partner with executive leadership, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Growth teams to identify opportunities and drive measurable business outcomes.
- Own product analytics across the customer lifecycle, including onboarding, conversion funnels, retention, engagement, and monetization.
- Build executive-ready dashboards, reports, and presentations that communicate complex data through clear, compelling narratives.
- Develop insights around user behavior, subscription performance, and product adoption.
- Lead a small analytics team while remaining actively involved in hands-on analysis.
- Establish best practices for analytics, experimentation, and KPI measurement.
- Leverage AI and modern analytics tools to improve reporting, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted thought partner to executive leadership on business strategy and product performance.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Product or Consumer Data Analytics.
- 2+ years working with B2C mobile applications.
- 2–5 years of direct people management experience.
- Experience leading analytics within a fast-paced, venture-backed startup or rapidly growing technology company.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
- Experience owning product analytics across:
- Conversion funnels
- Feature adoption
- User engagement
- Retention
- Customer segmentation
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
