About the Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Senior/Staff Product Manager to become the founding Product Manager at a fast-growing, venture-backed AI startup. This is a highly strategic, customer-facing role where you'll serve as the bridge between enterprise customers and our engineering team, helping shape the future of our AI platform.
As one of the company's earliest product leaders, you'll partner directly with the CEO, CTO, engineering, and customers to understand complex business challenges, translate them into product requirements, and drive successful implementations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an early-stage environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats.
What You'll Do
- Lead enterprise customer engagements from pre-sales discovery through post-sale expansion.
- Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations that showcase customer-specific solutions rather than generic feature walkthroughs.
- Partner closely with customers to understand workflows, business challenges, and technical requirements.
- Translate customer feedback and business needs into detailed product requirements and engineering specifications.
- Work directly with the CEO to support pre-sales efforts and reduce executive involvement in day-to-day customer engagements.
- Collaborate with engineering to prioritize features and ensure successful product delivery.
- Build prototypes and validate product concepts using AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude.
- Manage multiple enterprise implementations simultaneously while maintaining exceptional customer experience.
- Identify recurring customer needs and influence the product roadmap with scalable solutions.
- Own complex enterprise product capabilities including authentication, RBAC, approval workflows, integrations, APIs, and data governance.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of Product Management experience within enterprise/B2B software.
- Experience in enterprise software is required. Candidates with primarily consumer product backgrounds will not be considered.
- Proven experience working directly with enterprise customers throughout the sales and implementation lifecycle.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into actionable engineering deliverables.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Stable employment history demonstrating long-term impact and growth.
Preferred
- Experience with DevOps, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or data analytics products.
- Background in engineering, consulting, or technical product management.
- Experience building products from the ground up in an early-stage startup.
- Familiarity with regulated industries.
- Experience working with integrations, APIs, and enterprise authentication systems.
- Hands-on experience with AI development tools including Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies.
